To anyone who is interested in learning how to code (in Java) and develop visually oriented programs with emphasis on animation and interactivity -- Processing is a great software for this. It's open source and very well documented so it's perfect for beginners (like me)! For downloads and more info, check out the Processing website: https://processing.org/
